Please mark your calendars- we'd love to see you out at Rapid Run Middle School on Friday Night for Senior Night as we celebrate 9 extraordinary young women. The ceremony will begin around 4:40 and first pitch will be 5pm. 

 

 

Senior Details:

On top of helping their team to a 21-0 season.. with a week left of regular season games...the 9 Seniors listed below have left their mark on the Oak Hills Softball record book the last 3 years after losing their freshman season to Covid. This team has won more games over the last 3 years than in any other stretch in Oak Hills SB History. They are working to find a way to bring home another league title- back to back GMC titles- which will be the 1st time since joining the GMC in 2001. Along the way, they have broken Team and School Records in every single category we keep track of. Individually, they have already broken School Records in 26 different categories.They not only excel on the diamond but in the classroom as well. Last season the team carried a 3.8 team gpa and this season they are at a  3.9 team gpa.

#3 2nd baseman Abby Bode 

Abby is a 4 year varsity letter winner and captain for the Highlanders.  Abby is currently leading the league in Batting Avg, Runs batted in and homeruns. Abby Is a 2x GMC first team recipient, 2x All State Recipient, 2x All District player and she has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Abby is a 2x OHSAA Academic All Star, member of NHS, Spanish Honor Society, and a class officer. Abby will graduate in the top 10% of her senior class where she ranks 13th / 637 students. Abby will be attending the University of Evansville on a Softball scholarship where she will major in exercise science. 

#2 Shortstop Niki Bode

Niki is a 4 year varsity letter winner and captain for the Highlanders. Niki  is currently among the top of the GMC in homeruns, RBIs and batting avg. Niki is a 2x GMC first team recipient, 2x All State Recipient, 2x All District player and she has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Niki is a 2x OHSAA Academic All Star and a member of NHS and Spanish Honor Society. Niki will graduate in the top 10% of her senior class where she ranks 25 / 637 students. Niki will be attending the University of Evansville on a Softball scholarship where she will major in exercise science. 

#20 Designated Player Syd Dance

Syd is a 2 year varsity letter winner in softball and captain for the Highlanders. She is currently a GMC first team recipient, and multisport varsity athlete at Oak Hills where she was a member of the Tennis team and also a matscot. Syd is a 2x OHSAA Academic All Star and has maintained a 4.0 GPA. She is a  member of NHS and the American Sign Language Honor Society. Syd was recognized as Student of the Month within her Senior Class. She will graduate in the top 10% of her senior class where she ranks 22 / 637 students. Syd will be attending Bowling Green University where she will major in Forensic Examination. 

 

#4 3rd baseman Madelyn Erskine 

Madelyn is a 4 year varsity letter winner and captain for the Highlanders. She is currently a 2x GMC second team recipient. Madelyn currently is tied for 5th among home runs hit in the league this season with 3. Madelyn has 3.74 GPA and is a member of NHS and the American Sign Language Honor Society. Madelyn is a 2x OHSAA Academic All Star. She is also one of the Senior Class Officers. Madelyn ranks 184 / 637 students. She will be attending Mount St. Joseph where she will continue playing softball and double major in Early Childhood education and Special Education. 

 

#13 1st baseman Maeve Fink 

Maeve is a 4 year varsity letter winner and captain for the Highlanders. Maeve  is currently among the top of GMC in RBIs. Maeve is a 2x GMC first team recipient and has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Maeve is a 2x OHSAA Academic All Star as well as a member of NHS and Sign Language Honor Society where she is on the executive board of the ASL Club. Maeve will graduate in the top 10% of her senior class where she ranks 21 / 637 students. Maeve will be attending Thomas More University on a Softball scholarship where she will major in Biology. 

#24 Pitcher Avery Gottlieb

Avery is a 4 year varsity letter winner and captain for the Highlanders. Avery currently leads the league in strikeouts, ERA and Wins. Avery is a 2x GMC Pitcher of the Year, 2x 1st Team All State Recipient, 2x All District player where she has maintained a 3.98 GPA and will graduate in the top 10% of her senior class where she ranks 113/ 644 students. Avery will be attending Lourdes University on a Softball scholarship where she will major in nursing. 

#6 Centerfielder Kailee Hebert

Kailee is a 4 year varsity letter winner for the softball program and captain for the Highlanders. Kailee was a 4 sport varsity athlete at one point holding varsity letters in football, soccer, basketball and softball. She is a 2x GMC second team recipient and 2x OHSAA Academic All Star. She holds a 3.47 GPA where she ranks 212/ 644 students. Kailee is a member of the Chic-Fil-A Leadership Academy.  Kailee will be attending Tiffin University on a Soccer scholarship where she will major in athletic training. 

#19 Pitcher Syd Lefever

Syd is a 2 year varsity letter winner and captain for the Highlanders. Syd holds a 3.23 gpa and ranks among the top half of her class. Syd is a OHSAA Academic All Star. She is going to attend Cincinnati State where she will major in Forensic Science. 

 

#6 Catcher Kylie Lockwood

Kylie is a 4 year varsity letter winner and captain for the Highlanders. Kylie is a 2x GMC first team recipient and currently holds a 4.0 GPA. Kylie is a 2x OHSAA Academic All Star. She is a member of NHS and Spanish Honor Society. Kylie will be attending Muskingum University where she will continue her softball career and double major in Psychology and biology.
