On Friday, Oak Hills boys varsity basketball had a big GMC game at Mason. The Highlanders had the lead all game since the 5:35 mark in the first quarter. They had a 27-18 half time lead, and their biggest lead of the game was 12. Mason had cut the lead to a score of 34-31 going into the fourth. The team grinded out the rest of the game for a 53-49 win. Kelen Dietrich a big game with 22 points off of 8-11 shooting and 5 threes, hitting big shot after big shot. Jacob Berkemeier grabbed 11 rebounds with 4 assist. Oak Hills now improves to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the GMC as they knock off undefeated Mason. The next game is at Sycamore on Tuesday, January 8th.
