Oak Hills girls basketball lost a close on Saturday, falling 56-54 to Hamilton Big Blue.
The Highlanders raced to a 21-14 first quarter lead, but foul trouble and poor defense allowed the Hamilton to cut the margin to 2 by halftime.The game went back and forth for the next 16 minutes, with Oak Hills trailing by just two with 8 second left. But a traveling violation stopped the Highlanders chance to tie the game and the Big Blue hit two free throws to ice the win. Junior guard Dy Armfield led the Highlanders with 15 points and 7 rebounds and senior guard Camryn Gramke added 11 points and a game-high four assists. Oak Hills is now 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the GMC.
Both the Freshman and JV were victorious over Hamilton.
